Directions from Auckland: view/print directions
  • At the bottom of the Bombay Hills, take the left-hand turnoff onto State Highway 2; after about 36km this changes to State Highway 27.
  • The AA signposts will give distance to Tirau - keep following these signs (on State Highway 27).
  • When you pass through the village of Waharoa you are nearly at Matamata.
  • At the first roundabout in Matamata (you'll see KFC and McDonalds ahead of you), turn left (over the railway lines).
  • Drive through Matamata town (you should pass a Challenge service station on the left) and when you come to the roundabout by the BP garage go straight through (on the road to Tauranga - State Highway 24).
  • After about 2 kilometres you go across a bridge; take the next road on the left (Taihoa North Road); Totara Springs Christian Centre is at the end of this road.
Directions from Cambridge / Hamilton: view/print directions
  • Take State Highway 1 towards Taupo, turning left onto State Highway 29 (just past Lake Karapiro) and then again left onto State Highway 27.
  • After about 1.5km, turn right onto Taihoa South Road (13 km long) and cross State Highway 24 onto Taihoa North Road; Totara Springs Christian Centre is at the end of this road.
Directions from Tauranga: view/print directions
  • Travel on State Highway 29 then State Highway 24, following the signs to Matamata.
  • After coming down the Kaimai Ranges you should see "The Puffing Billy" on your right.
  • Keep following this road until you come to a T-intersection. Turn right (still on State Highway 24) to head towards Matamata.
  • After 3.5kms turn right into Taihoa North Road; Totara Springs Christian Centre is at the end of this road.
Directions from Taupo: view/print directions
  • Take State Highway 1, and then at Tirau turn right onto State Highway 27and continue toward Matamata.
  • After crossing over State Highway 29 (still on State Highway 27), drive about 1.5km then turn right onto Taihoa South Road (13km long).
  • Continue across State Highway 24 onto Taihoa North Road; Totara Springs Christian Centre is at the end of this road.
Directions from Rotorua: view/print directions
  • Head north from Rotorua on SH5.
  • 4 km after going through Fitzgerald Glade, there will be a sign on the right which points to Tauranga and Matamata. Turn right into this road (State Highway 28).
  • Keep following this road until you reach Te Poi (intersection with State Highway 29). Continue on straight ahead.  Keep going straight ahead when you come to State Highway 24.
  • After about 3.5km from the SH29/24 junction, turn right into Taihoa North Road; Totara Springs Christian Centre is at the end of this road.
